SUMMARY:Make Your Own Ceramic Plant Pot
DESCRIPTION:Create a your own 2 piece plant pot set exploring coiling\, surface imprinting\, and other hand-building techniques. \n\n\n\nJoin us for for a fun and memorable experience creating a bespoke plant pot. \nAt this workshop you will learn to design and hand-build your very own unique plant pot complete with drainage tray. You will have the opportunity to explore a range of ceramic techniques including slab-building\, coiling\, and imprinting textures such as freshly picked leaves and flowers from our garden. Our talented pottery instructors will expertly guide you through the process so that by the end of the session you will be the proud creator of a beautiful garden pot with drainage tray for your home or garden. You will be able to choose from a selection of finishing glazes available at our pottery to complete your design. \nWe work in small groups\, so it’s fun and friendly\, and we’ll have your finished pieces fired and glazed and ready for you to collect after 4 weeks . Our sessions are suitable for complete beginners\, but we also welcome more experienced potters. \nYou will also be able to view and purchase handmade products and plants from our other V21 projects\, at an exclusive 20% discount. \nGood to know: \n\nYou will make 1 x plant pot complete with matching drainage tray/saucer.\nMaterials and tools will be provided on the day.\nYour creations will be fired and glazed by our V21 Pottery team and ready for you to collect within 4 weeks.\nWorkshops are open to any ability 14 years and above.\nFree parking available on site\, with close train and bus routes.\nPlease note: pottery making can get messy\, you will be provided with an apron but it is advisable to wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty.\n\nClick here to book.

SUMMARY:Batik Tote Bag
DESCRIPTION:Join Jenny for a Batik Workshop!\nBatik is a fabric-dyeing method that uses wax to block out colour. You apply hot wax to the fabric in a design\, then paint over it with ink. The ink only colours the unwaxed areas. Once the wax is removed\, your design is revealed.  We offer two options for making your batik bag: \nOption 1: Pre-designed Patterns\nWe apply the wax design for you ahead of time. You paint the bag with your choice of inks. We will iron off the wax afterwards so you can take the bag home. Open to all ages (required for under 14s).\nChoose from a selection of design options. \nOption 2: The Full Process\nYou do every step yourself: design the image on the bag\, apply the hot wax\, paint the inks\, and iron off the wax to finish.
