Fieldway Kitchen provides daily meals for the trainees, volunteers and staff who work at the Fieldway site. Trainees develop food preparation skills, social skills and working to meal-time deadlines. The daily meals at Fieldway also provide an important social aspect, bringing trainees, staff and volunteers together to share lunch.
Trainees attend Fieldway Kitchen from 9am – 3pm.
Fieldway Kitchen trainees prepare and serve main meals, freshly made sandwiches and baguettes as well as soup of the day and desserts.
Trainees learn to prepare food, use equipment and serve customers as well as gaining experience of basic retail skills.
