V21 Life Skills @ Fairwater
Do you want to learn how to live more independently?
V21 Life Skills is a focussed, hands-on course teaching practical skills needed to live more independently, both at home and in your community. The course is a 12 month programme designed to adapt to your individual needs and goals, where you will learn a range of practical skills and leave feeling more confident and independent.
V21 Life Skills is taught as an independent project in a fully equipped Life Skills Lodge at our Sbectrwm Centre in Fairwater, Cardiff, where you will have the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends as you learn skills for life.
Together, we will develop a training plan to suit you and you could learn skills such as:
Cooking for Myself
- Kitchen Hygiene / Preparing Drinks and Snacks / Preparing a Meal / Washing Up, Cleaning, Sweeping and Mopping
Caring for Myself
- Personal Care and Hygiene / Hair Care / Finger Nails / Laundry, ironing and making the bed
Shopping for Myself
- Using Money / Budgeting / Shopping Skills / Weekly Shopping
Keeping Myself Safe
- Independent Living Skills / Personal Safety / Travel Skills / Healthy Eating
When?
Trainees attend the V21 Life Skills @ Fairwater project from 9:00am – 3:00pm; Mondays and Tuesdays.
