Our working hours are 8.30am  - 4.00pm letting you escape before rush hour. Breaks are paid, and the holiday entitlement isn't bad either!

Salary: £23,723 pro rata (£9,489) per annum (pay increase pending from 1 April 2025) Plus, Pension Plan

Hours: 15 hours per week

(8.30am to 4.00pm Tuesday and Thursday)

About us

We are a local charity with facilities across Cardiff, The Vale of Glamorgan and beyond. We support life-changing opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, our trainees, to realise their potential through: catering; growing; creating; learning and making initiatives. Many of these projects are social enterprises that provide training for people with learning disabilities and volunteering opportunities for others.

About the job

Our V21 Pottery @ Fairwater is an established training project and social enterprise in a fully equipped pottery studio, where we support our trainees to make a range of ceramic items for sale. We put the happiness of our trainees at the heart or everything we do. The successful candidate will have the creative and technical pottery skills to produce quality ceramic items for sale as well as the empathy and enthusiasm to achieve this together with our trainees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and support trainees
  • Support development and deliver engaging workshops
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote V21and the sale of V21 Pottery products.

We're looking for:

· A creative and technically skilled ceramicist with a relevant qualification

  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or other vulnerable group
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A creative growth mindset
