V21 Catering @ Caerphilly
V21 Catering @ Caerphilly takes place at Plas Hyfryd, a busy residential care scheme, and is perfect for trainees who enjoy being active and involved.
With Andrew and the team, trainees help prepare and serve dinner to the residents while developing practical life skills through cooking. Everyday tasks give trainees the chance to learn kitchen safety and hygiene in a real setting.
It’s a practical project where trainees can learn, experiment, and see the results of their work each day.
There are plenty of opportunities for trainees to learn skills like:
- Food hygiene.
- Food preparation.
- Knife skills.
- Making sandwiches and baguettes.
- Serving hot and cold food and drinks.
- Setting tables.
- Customer Service.
- Using a till and handling money.
- Using kitchen equipment.
- Cleaning and washing up.
This is one of two of our catering projects in partnership with United Welsh Housing.
When?
Trainees attend the V21 Catering @ Caerphilly Monday to Friday from 9:30am - 3:00pm.
