V21 Crafts @ Fairwater

Our V21 Crafts @ Fairwater project, led by Sue, is the quieter of our craft projects. It’s a calm, creative space with a steady, relaxed pace.
Trainees focus on individual tasks making hand-made cards using different processes, as well as unique needle-felted gifts. Sue offers friendly support while showing how to use colour, texture, techniques and design tools to create quality pieces.
Much of the work is methodical and involves repeating tasks, which can be rewarding for those who like routine. In the afternoons, trainees choose what they’d like to work on, giving them the chance to explore their own ideas.
Learning is shaped around each trainee’s strengths and interests, including skills like:
- Printing techniques.
- Creating embellishments.
- Collage and colour transfer techniques.
- Exploring design ideas.
- Packaging cards for sale.
- Techniques for folding card.
- Drawing and painting.
- Stamping and embossing.
- Needle Felting
- Various crafts.
