V21 Crafts @ Fairwater

Our V21 Crafts @ Fairwater project is a calm, creative space where trainees focus on individual tasks, making handmade cards using different processes, as well as unique needle-felted gifts. Much of the work is methodical and involves repeating tasks, which can be rewarding for those who like routine.
Led by Sue, who offers friendly support, trainees are shown how to use colour, texture, techniques and design tools to create quality pieces. In the afternoons, trainees choose what they’d like to work on, giving them the chance to explore their own ideas.
As the quieter of our craft projects, it has a steady, relaxed pace, making it the perfect environment for those who enjoy a peaceful and focused place to work.
Learning is shaped around each trainee’s strengths and interests, including skills like:
- Printing techniques.
- Creating embellishments.
- Collage and colour transfer techniques.
- Exploring design ideas.
- Packaging cards for sale.
- Techniques for folding card.
- Drawing and painting.
- Stamping and embossing.
- Needle Felting
- Various crafts.
